My name is Gabriel Tobin, and I am the founder and designer behind this mapmaking journey. My fascination with maps began long before I started creating them. Growing up, I was captivated by the intricate and immersive maps in stories like J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
In 2020, I set out on this creative endeavor with a vision to design maps that few had done before me. Drawing inspiration from history, fantasy, and modern aesthetics, I aim to craft cartographic pieces that captivate the eye and evoke a sense of adventure. Every line, texture, and detail is carefully thought out, ensuring that each map is not only a functional representation but also a piece of art that tells a story.
The use of premium materials to craft museum-grade prints, designed for both durability and visual impact, was very important to me. While this approach may come at a slightly higher cost, it makes the map have a robust, distinctive finish that sets it apart.
